This Police Calls for Service Interactive Map is a brief snapshot of the calls to which our officers have responded over the past 24 hours; much more detailed information about confirmed crimes (e.g., not simply a call for service) is contained elsewhere on our website. For example:

Please note that this map is near real-time, and call types reflect descriptions as initially received. The description of an incident on the Report Log that follows may differ, based on the circumstances verified by officers.

PLEASE NOTE: Please refresh the map to see updated data as it becomes available. The best way to easily see recent calls on the map is to expand the “attribute table” by clicking on the small triangle in the gray box at the bottom center of the map screen. You can then double-click on any of those calls for service to see where they appear on the map.

The Palo Alto Police Department’s 24-hour dispatch center does not release information on calls for service that you may see on the map. If an ongoing threat to public safety exists, the Police Department has several means of providing relevant and timely notifications to impacted members of the community. Please do not tie up phone lines by calling our 24-hour dispatch center or 9-1-1 to seek additional information from what appears on this map.
